Name ;- Goddess Saraswati
She is the Hindu goddess of learning. This marble statue of the great goddess is so deeply cut that it almost looks 3 dimensional. The goddess stands in an architectural frame. The arch over her head is decked with three small Jain Teerthankaras.
This statue was made by an enlightened philosopher-king who donated it to a temple located in Bhojasala in Central India.

Teaching from this artefact :-The idea was to preserve and promote the growth of all and at the center of it all ,is art. Saraswati Vandana is done in schools before classes start. The tradition of India of giving importance to learning , is depicted in the way the Goddess of learning is always worshipped . This shows that India had a rich tradition of focussing on learning , as early as 12th century
There are Theerthankars also from Jain religion , so this shows how Jain and Hindu religions are interconnected and depicted together and shows how people following different religions lived together in harmony
